The classes will begin with instructions on basic drawing, shapes, a little on perspective, techniques, shading and highlighting.  We will begin with pencil, the most versatile of drawing media, good for precision and control. We will discuss and work with different mediums as the workshop progresses.  Your workshop fee of $70.00 includes all materials: sketch book, various pencils, charcoal and erasers to keep.  Other tools and materials will be provided for use during classes.  For those who wish to continue developing their skills at the conclusion of the four session workshop, information will be given on drawing tools, materials, their uses, and where to purchase them.  Your instructor is Kaye Lee Brady of Utah, more recently of Pantego, N.C.

Saturday, February 27
1 PM- 5 PM
$35.00 fee all inclusive

Multi-media artist, Cathy Clayton of Ponzer will teach students the proper and safe use of wood burning tools and the application of various tool heads while learning how different woods and grains can affect the outcome of your efforts. Building on basic skills, students will also have the opportunity to concentrate on shading to create 3-D effects.
Practice materials, tools, templates, and small plaques will be provided.  If you already own a wood burning kit, bring it!  We want your to get completely familiar with your own tool as it may differ slightly from those in our clean lab.  Equally, if you have a piece of material you have been working on or a special drawing or template you want to use, please feel free to bring it.
